Royal Jozini Big 6 Game Reserve is situated in the south east of Swaziland in a low-risk Malaria area, just 9kms from the Golela border post near Pongola. We are about 6 hours drive from Johannesburg and about 4 hours from Durban.
As part of the Lake Jozini Transfrontier Park, Royal Jozini Big 6 is renowned for being a popular getaway for people those who love being immersed in nature. The scenic surrounds include spectacular views of the Lubombo Mountains and Lake Jozini. With its 27 species of fish, Lake Jozini promises an excellent opportunity for passionate fishermen. Reputedly the best freshwater fighting fish in the world, the Tiger Fish poses a memorable challenge. You’re welcome to bring your own boat, or charter one of ours. The ‘Big 6’, incidentally, includes not only our goal of welcoming the ‘Big 5’ back into our wonderful conservation area (coming soon), but also the presence of the Tiger Fish as our ‘sixth wonder’.
Royal Jozini Big 6 is a utopia for bird watching, with birdsong ringing through each lodge. (How many of the 450 species will you be able to spot?!) Game is abundant, and includes zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, water buck, kudu, crocodile and hippo. One of many memorable outings is the game viewing, by boat, on Lake Jozini. Spectacular elephant, rhino and other game views await you on the opposite shore. Just close your eyes and imagine floating along, sipping on sundowners, your soulmate by your side, and an uncut view of Africa at its finest, all along the shoreline. You have to see it to believe it!
